Jul 03, 2025

When operating small loaders in rainy weather, focus on equipment protection and safe practices. Here are core guidelines:

1. Proper Anti-Slip Chain Installation

  • Install compatible anti-slip chains on the loader in advance; choose sizes matching wheel hub dimensions, avoid fitting on under-inflated tires

  • Place warning signs when installing chains temporarily; limit speed to ≤15km/h, no sudden braking/turning

2. Air Intake System Waterproofing

  • Check the loader's air filter; replace immediately if damp or clogged

  • Cover the air intake with a plastic bag when parking outdoors to prevent rainwater ingress

3. Engine Oil Moisture Prevention

  • Inspect the oil dipstick seal; replace if worn to avoid rainwater seepage into the oil

  • Use plastic wrap over the oil filler cap for extra waterproofing

4. Electrical Connection Maintenance

  • Clean rust from starter terminals and apply conductive grease to prevent moisture damage

  • Check generator wiring connections; wrap exposed wires with insulating tape to avoid short circuits

5. Work Environment Management

  • Avoid waterlogged/muddy areas; keep the bucket low when operating on slopes

  • Wipe cab glass regularly and activate wipers to ensure clear visibility

During rainy operations, prioritizing loader anti-slip measures, waterproofing, and electrical maintenance—combined with environmental assessment—minimizes equipment failure risks and ensures safe, efficient work.
